Flowers to the hospital

While it has always been tradition to send flowers to loved ones recovering in the hospital, researchers are backing up our niceties with evidence that suggests flowers and plants in hospital rooms reduce pain symptoms, the need for pain medication, as well as keep heart rates and blood pressure lower against those in the control group without flowers and plants. Even more interesting is that when asked, the patients indicated the best part of the room was the flowers, when present, and when not present, indicated the TV as the best part of the room.
